Junior Curling

Junior Curling at the Lacombe Curling Club

Our Junior Curling Program is the perfect place for young curlers to learn the game, build confidence, stay active, and make new friends in a fun and supportive environment. Whether your child is stepping onto the ice for the first time or looking to develop their skills, we have a program designed for them.

Learn-to-Curl Juniors (Ages 5–12)

Time: 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM

Our Learn-to-Curl program introduces young curlers to the fundamentals of the sport through fun games, skill development, and on-ice instruction. Participants will learn:

  • Basic curling techniques
  • Safety on the ice
  • Delivery, sweeping, and game etiquette
  • Teamwork and sportsmanship

Children ages 5–6 curl with Tim Hortons Lite Rocks, while participants ages 7–12 use regulation curling stones.

Volunteers Needed

Our Junior Curling Program relies on the support of volunteers. We are currently looking for a Junior Program League Representative and are always seeking on-ice volunteers to help with instruction and support our young curlers throughout the season.

If you're interested in volunteering or would like more information, please contact the Lacombe Curling Club office.  403-782-6277
